The JSU planetarium provides an fascinating experience through which K-12 classroom students, youth organizations, and university students can learn about astronomy. It houses a modern Digistar 3SP projector. To arrange a time for your group or class to visit the planetarium and to see spectacular presentations, contact the Jacksonville State University astronomy program coordinator Dr. Laura M. JSU Planetarium Programs

Second Saturday Space Safaris

Travel through space and explore planet Earth during these exciting programs for families and children. Dr. Laura Weinkauf will be leading these programs as families learn about outer space, and watch exciting dome films about Earth and its creatures.

When:

Second Saturday of each month (December through April)

Where:

JSU Planetarium

328 Martin Hall (3rd Floor)

Time:

4:00pm -5:00pm

Additional shows may be necessary pending general public participation

Fee:

$5 for adults

$2 children & students
