My graduate work was in Geography and Geographic Information Science at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. I have taught and researched extensively in GIScience, Human and Physical Geography and have been engaged in much “Transdisciplinary” work such as; chemistry, anthropology, sociology, forestry and biology. While my primary focus is GIScience and spatial analysis, I am a broadly trained geographer and my expertise crosses academic boundaries easily. I am also a Fulbright Scholar (2011) to South Asia, working specifically with Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded India, Maharashtra. This time was spend teaching GIS and spatial analysis at SRTMU and working with Graduate students on the implementation of GIS in their research. I had the opportunity to travel extensively and make numerous presentations at different academic facilities.
I am also the recipient of the Oman Alwaleed Bin Talal Fellowship 2015. This is a cultural and educational exchange experience for Model Arab League Advisers. Sponsored by the National Council on U.S. – Arab Relations (NCUSAR).
