Academic Policies

The following policies of the College of Education and Professional Studies work in accord with the Jacksonville State University Student Handbook.

The College of Education and Professional Studies "Grade Appeals Policy" explains the process students must follow should they wish to appeal a posted course grade.

The College of Education and Professional Studies "Honesty Policy" includes cheating and plagiarism.

The College of Education and Professional Studies "Grade Dismissal Policy" includes the "D" and "F" Dismissal policy that covers all programs in the College of Education and Professional Studies, and the Grade Point Average (GPA) Dismissal Policy which is for those students accepted into teacher education.

Disciplinary Action Committee - In the event that a student exhibits severe disciplinary problems, encounters legal problems that are likely to result in an inability to become a certified teacher, has ongoing and uncorrected dispositional problems or other problems of a very serious nature, the student will be referred to the Disciplinary Action Committee.
