The 2018 NSSE and FSSE administrations ended on June 1

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

In 2017-18, in addition to 2,693 first-year students and seniors, we also selected 1,371 sophomores to participate in this important national higher education study. Of the invitees, 363 or 32.8% of the first-year students, 434 or 31.6% of the sophomores, and 606 or 38.1% of the seniors responded, completely or partially to the survey. The total response rate for first-year students and seniors was 35.9%.

Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE)

Four hundred thirty six JSU faculty were invited to participate in FSSE 2018. Of the invitees, 177 or 40.6% responded completely or partially to the survey.

The NSSE and FSSE reports will be available in late August or early September. For questions, please contact Institutional Research & Effectiveness, or 256.782.5109.
