The JSU Interfraternity Council (IFC) received the highest number of awards at the Southeastern Interfraternity Conference on Feb. 17, garnering three honors:

Excellence in Outstanding Alumni Development Award, which recognizes the university that has developed programs to keep alumni informed throughout the school year while remaining active in its support of its own chapters and the campus fraternity community

Excellence in Outstanding Publication Award - the best overall single publication based on layout, content, distribution and overall quality

Fraternal Excellence Award - given to only three institutions, this award is the highest honor presented by the conference

The IFC is the governing body for JSU's six North-American Interfraternity Conference fraternities. Its mission is to foster cooperation among its members, provide services to the chapters, promote the fraternal community, enhance the relationship between its members and the university community, and act as the judicial body for the actions of its members.
