Group Training

Custom training for colleges, departments, or other faculty/staff groups of five or more is available through the Office of Educational Technology & Support.

Sessions can be scheduled at an agreed-upon campus location. The faculty or staff member scheduling training will be responsible for reserving lab space, reserving necessary AV equipment (computer, LCD projector, projection screen), and ensuring that the lab computers meet system requirements for training.

In order to coordinate training requests, one representative of the faculty/staff group of at least five (departmental or interdepartmental) should send an e-mail to online@jsu.edu with the following information:

  • Topic(s) to be covered in the training session
  • Names of faculty who plan to attend
  • At least three date/time options for sessions desired; in most cases, sessions will need to begin after 9:00 a.m. and must be completed by 4:00 p.m. (all times CT)
  • Desired location of training

We are available to provide training on a number of topics, including but not limited to: Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing, podcasting/lecture capture, course design, iPads, and the Blackboard Exemplary Course Rubric.
