JSU Social Work Student Receives Frank Egan BSW Student Award

Janice Saint, a BSW student in the JSU Social Work department, was selected as a winner of the Frank R. Egan Award at the 44th Annual Alabama-Mississippi Social Work Conference in Hattiesburg, MS on October 29, 2015.  This award is given to two students each year, one from each participating state.

The Frank R. Egan Award recognizes the best research activity conducted by undergraduate students in the Alabama-Mississippi Conference.  The award was created in honor of the late Frank R. Egan, one of the founders of the conference.

Ms. Saint did research activity on undergraduate social work students and ethics and presented at the conference: An Exploratory Study: Undergraduate Social Work Students and Ethical Decision Making.  Ms. Saint plans to graduate with her BSW degree from Jacksonville State University in Spring of 2016.
