Spring Break Safety
March 11, 2020 7:15 PM
Dear JSU Students, Faculty and Staff,
We are happy to report that the university's COVID-19 status remains unchanged. There are no cases on our campus or in the State of Alabama. We continue to improve our readiness as we get ever closer to Spring Break, which is only nine days away.
With that said, we want you to know that our goal is for you to have a safe and restful break. We would like to ask that, while on Spring Break, you avoid travel to locations where COVID-19 cases have been reported. We say this because many domestic travelers across the nation have found themselves in situations where they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Due to that possible exposure, they return from the trip with work or school restrictions and self-quarantine recommendations.
We are pleased to let you know that we have enhanced our COVID-19 website with videos designed to make you more aware of this pandemic threat. The webpage has also been divided into three sections: one for students, one for faculty and staff, and one for general interest and education. Please visit the COVID-19 website by clicking on the button below for more information.
Thank you,
Dr. Don Killingsworth, Jr.
Acting President
