JSU Operations Update
March 12, 2020 8:53 PM
JSU is following a social distancing strategy to help protect the University and local communities by slowing the potential spread of COVID-19. This includes moving classes online, canceling events, avoiding large gatherings, canceling travel, and limiting personal contact.
By implementing these strategies, JSU is doing our part in ‘flattening the curve’ to slow the spread of COVID-19. Even though we do not have a confirmed case at this time, we feel we must follow national recommendations to reduce exposure.
The administration will be closely monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and make an announcement by April 3 regarding when in-person classes and other campus events will resume. If the situation changes, the University will adapt and notify you of changes as they occur.
Here is some essential information about the campus, effective Friday, March 13. Additional information is available on the COVID-19 website. Please check this often for updates. In keeping with our social distancing strategy, please use email as your first choice for contact.
