Entrepreneur and Visionary Marc Lore to Speak at Jax State on Feb. 5

JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State University is excited to host Marc Lore, renowned entrepreneur, NBA team owner and innovator, for "A Conversation with Marc Lore" on Wednesday, February 5, at 7 p.m. in Merrill Hall Room B10. This free event is open to the public, as well as all Jax State students, faculty and staff.
Lore, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Wonder Group, is known for his groundbreaking work in e-commerce, business innovation and urban development. His ventures have redefined industries, from launching Jet.com, which was acquired by Walmart for $3.3 billion, to co-founding Quidsi, the parent company of e-commerce websites Diapers.com, Soap.com, Wag.com, and more, which was later sold to Amazon for $550 million.
In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Lore is a co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx, an investor in futuristic projects such as Archer's all-electric aircraft, and the visionary behind Telosa, a proposed utopian city designed to pioneer a new model of economic and social equity.
