Online@JSU assists our faculty in a variety of ways. Several software and applications are supported by our office, such as the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas Studio, and more.

Turnitin Feedback Studio 

  • Plagiarism detection tool integrated into Canvas.

Respondus 4.0 Campus Wide License

  • Respondus 4.0 is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Canvas. Exams can be created offline using Word or plain text documents and uploaded into Respondus 4.0 then published to Canvas.  Please see the Respondus 4.0 Campus Wide License Tutorial to learn more.

Respondus Test Bank Network 

  • Contains thousands of test banks for the leading textbooks in higher education.

HippoCampus and NROC 

  • Open Educational Resources (OER)
  • Offers multimedia lessons and course materials to help with instruction, homework, and studies.

Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys - (Formerly EvaluationKIT) 

  • Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys is an end-of-semester survey tool implemented by JSU to conduct all course and instructor evaluations.
  • Faculty and administrators can access the EvaluationKIT dashboard by logging into Canvas

Digital Measures

  • Digital Measures-Activity Insight (DM) is a secure web-based information management system designed to collect and manage faculty research, teaching, and service activities, including accomplishments and professional activities.

Microsoft Education/Microsoft Teams

  • Microsoft Teams, part of the Microsoft Education LTI in Canvas, is the web-conferencing tool supported at Jacksonville State University. Microsoft Education is connected to each Canvas course, but must be synced to the course by faculty to utilize Teams, Meetings, Class Notebook, and OneDrive.
  • The Technology Support Center provides technical assistance with Teams such as account creation and administration. Online@JSU supports instructors in learning how to use Teams and how to leverage Teams in online teaching and learning. 

DesignPlus 2.0 for Canvas (by CIDI Labs)

YuJa Panorama 

YuJa Panorama is an accessibility platform integrated directly into Canvas. It automatically scans course materials and provides real-time feedback to improve accessibility, while also giving students the ability to access content in formats that meet their individual needs. Panorama provides access to several key features:

  • Automated accessibility checks for files, pages, and course content
  • Step-by-step remediation guidance for improving accessibility
  • Alternative formats for students (audio, OCR, tagged PDFs, and more)
  • Accessibility reporting and course-level insights
  • Seamless integration within Canvas
