Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) Education
The MCIS Department has been a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) Education since 2014. Prior to receiving the designation, the MCIS Department established the Center for Information Security and Assurance (CISA) in 2008. The objective of CISA is to provide an avenue for research and education in computer and network security, digital forensics, cryptography, risk assessment and mitigation, disaster recovery and management, security regulations and compliance, and information security management.
