Our Mission

The jsuRIDE's mission is to provide safe and reliable transit service to Jacksonville State University.

Hours of Service

  • Monday - Thursday 7:00 - 9:00
Off Campus last pickup 8:30 pm
  • Friday 7:00 - 4:30 pm
Off Campus last pickup 4:00 pm.
  • No weekend hours

  1. Download the JSU Ride app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Sign in with your JSU email account. You will be required to enter a one-time code to verify your email.
  3. Select Request a Ride.
  4. Choose your Destination then chose your Pickup Location.
  5. Choose when you would like to be picked up. We highly recommend scheduling rides ahead of time so that they are at the top of our queue. If you select ASAP, your ride time will be delayed.

You can monitor your ride under your 'Upcoming Ride' section. You can see the estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the driver to pick you up and when the driver has accepted the ride. After your ride has been completed, you have the option to rate your ride and leave feedback.

  • Must have an American phone and phone number.
  • Be sure to check the language, country, and region as it will need to be set to English, United States of America, and Central Standard time zone.
  • Make sure your location services and cellular data are turned on.
  • Make sure that Do Not Disturb is off.
  • Check that your phone is updated to the latest version.
  • When logging into the app for the first time, you will need to enter the email that is attached to your phone. For example, if you have an iPhone, it will be the email associated with your Apple ID.
  • You will then be asked to enter your JSU student email address along with your first name.
  • If you have changed numbers recently and have not updated your number through DUO please go to DUO management on myjaxstate to update your phone number.

If you are still unable to request a ride after double checking all of the above settings, you will need to contact your phone’s tech support center.

Your tuition payments include costs associated with jsuRIDE. Jacksonville State University students, faculty, and staff with a valid JSU ID card have unlimited access to the service.

In addition to the jsuRIDE system, we also offer a transit bus that runs internally through campus for all students. (No appointment is needed)

Rider Guidelines

  • While riding, please remain seated and buckled.
  • Do not enter a street or chase a vehicle in an attempt to board after the driver has pulled away from the pickup location.
  • Use of tobacco products and open containers of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
  • Radios without headphones may not be played during your ride.
  • Pets are not allowed, except for service animals approved under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
