Decisions will be sent to the email address you put in your application in the first- or second-week May.
All applications will go through the screening process after the April 1st deadline. The initial screening process will go through all applications and determine which applicant will advance to the interview round. If you do not make it to the interview round, you will be sent a denial letter.
We accept applications between the ages of 18 -24 years old. If you will turn 25 before the start of classes, then your application will not be eligible. If you are 17 but will turn 18 when classes start, your application will be eligible.
We do not discuss the details of the scholarship amounts. If you get sent an offer letter, the letter will have details of what the scholarship covers.
We accept applicants in all undergraduate grade levels if they meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
You must be between the ages of 18-24. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. You must be an undergraduate student.
Yes, you can apply to the International House and JSU simultaneously. However, if you get offered, you must complete the process to be admitted to JSU.
You must participate in mandatory and optional events. You must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA without any Ds or Fs. You must complete 15 hours of volunteer service per semester.
The International House scholarship can be renewed up to 4 semesters or 2 years if all the requirements of the program are met.
No. The only way to stay for a 3rd or 4th year in the International House is if you are hired as a Resident Assistant.
No. Only 2nd year students are eligible to apply for the RA position. Exceptions can be made under special circumstances.
No. Only students who have lived in the International House are eligible to apply to be an RA. Exceptions can be made under special circumstances.
