Bachelor of Science - Sport Management & Recreation Studies

Combined with your natural enthusiasm for an active lifestyle, a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Recreation Studies can make sports and leisure your career! Supplement your love of the game with courses geared toward the leadership, marketing, management, and communications aspects of the businesses of sport and recreation.  Within the degree program you can select from two concentrations: Sport Management or Recreation Leadership.

Sport Management Concentration

This concentration will prepare you for all aspects of sport management including budgeting and finance, marketing and public relations, facilities management, event planning, and the legal and ethical considerations of sport management/recreation administration.

Recreation Leadership Concentration

With this concentration, even hard work can feel like play! Through active and creative learning, you will gain the leadership skills necessary for a lifetime of promoting and building healthy communities. Beginning with a foundation in outdoor, community, sports, and youth development, you will learn to manage indoor and outdoor recreational programs and facilities for all age groups.
