Student Account Refunds

Jacksonville State University delivers your refund, powered by BM Technologies, Inc.

If your student account shows a credit (negative) balance, you may be entitled to receive a refund.

Students have two options to receive their refunds:

Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school. Typically, it takes 1 – 2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account. 

If you open a BankMobile checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school. 

All students will be asked to select a refund delivery preference from the options listed above. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Update your mailing address.
    If you’re not sure that Jacksonville State University has your current mailing address, please take a moment to update your address information.
  2. Look for your Personal Code.
    Starting in December, look for your Personal Code. It will be sent to the email address on record with the school and will also be mailed in a bright green envelope from BM Technologies.
    Once the email is received, simply follow these steps to make your refund preference selection:
    • Follow the link in the email provided

    • Enter your personal code (Found in the email)

    • Select how you'd like to receive your money

If you select the BankMobile Checking Account as your refund choice, you will receive a temporary virtual Debit MasterCard® to use until your physical card arrives in the mail.

If you do not select either electronic refund method above, it may cause a delay in the delivery of your refund.

Parent PLUS Loan Refunds

If the parent has not elected to have the refund distributed to the student, parent refunds are mailed by check to the address provided on the Parent PLUS Loan application.

BankMobile Checking Account - Frequently Asked Questions

Log on to the BankMobile website: www.refundselection.com. Once on the secure website, click "Already made a choice? Log In" at the top right of the screen. Select "Forgot your password?" and follow the instructions. The first part of your password will be provided to you immediately and the second part will be emailed to you at your registered email address within a few minutes.

  • Deposit checks to your BankMobile account by using check deposit feature in their BankMobile Checking Account.
  • Transfer money from an existing bank account by first adding your bank to your account as a "Funding Bank Account." This is done by logging on to your BankMobile Checking Account and selecting funding bank accounts under the header "Profile."

Either call BankMobile customer service at 1-866-894-1141 (866) 894-1141or log in to your account and report your card lost.
